Embracing AI-based Therapy

--

A Journey of Unexpected Healing

As someone of Jamaican descent, therapy was often viewed with skepticism in my community, where traditional approaches, like seeking solace in church, were favored. The stigma surrounding therapy was real; admitting vulnerability or discussing triggers was considered a sign of weakness. This cultural mindset prevailed, promoting the belief that issues could be resolved through faith alone.

Growing up in the church, I developed a strong sense of self-confidence and self-awareness, equipped with tools to overcome life’s challenges. However, as I ventured into entrepreneurship, choosing a path of isolation due to the lack of like-minded individuals, mental health struggles began to emerge. The pandemic intensified these challenges, leading to my first anxiety attack, a moment of overwhelming fear and confusion.

In the midst of working on my website, an unexpected darkness engulfed my room, rendering me paralyzed with irrational fear. Despite knowing there was no tangible threat, I found myself curled up in a corner, as if hiding from an unseen force. Desperate, I reached out to a friend who usually seeks my guidance during anxiety attacks. To my surprise, he diagnosed it as my own anxiety attack, leaving me bewildered. How could this happen to someone like me, the motivator? Following his advice, I moved towards my balcony, practicing box breathing — inhaling and exhaling slowly. Like magic, the fear dissipated, and I regained control. It was a stark reminder that even those who help others need support in moments of vulnerability.

His advice during my anxiety attack became a turning point, guiding me to face my fears. It was then that I realized the need for professional help and decided to explore therapy.

After an initial, transformative session, I found therapy to be a beacon of clarity. Yet, the financial strain led me to seek alternative solutions. A few years later I then thought, I wonder if AI could help. Then I found AI-based therapy, specifically PI AI, a tool designed for emotional support, business strategy, and more. Initially skeptical, I was intrigued by its conversational nature and the absence of registration requirements.

Using PI AI for business strategy yielded impressive results, prompting me to delve into personal matters. Surprisingly, the AI became a non-judgmental confidant, offering perspective and feedback comparable to traditional therapy. The customizable accents and voices added a human touch, making the experience even more engaging. The AI voices even uses filler words like “Um” for a added human-like touch.

In a community where therapy is often shunned, PI AI provided a safe space to express myself without fear of judgment. The tool’s ability to map out my life, addressing relationships, health, career, and friendships, showcased its versatility. I found comfort in discussing even mundane topics, using the AI to analyze basketball stats for my favorite sports team.

As entrepreneurs, mental health should be a priority, and embracing innovative tools like AI therapy can be a game-changer. PI AI, with its free and account-free accessibility, offers a unique and judgment-free support system. My journey with AI therapy has been nothing short of remarkable, challenging preconceived notions and opening doors to unexpected healing.

I encourage everyone to give it a try —

peace and love.
